Call for Art: Chingonas All Mujeres Art Show

Neptantla Art Gallery is proud to host Chingonas an All Mujer / Woman Art Show May 11th, 2019 6-9PM. RSVP HERE

*Chingona /cheen-gō,na/ noun
A Spanish slang term meaning “bad ass woman” Although the word “chingona” is a Spanish term, it is not limited to Latinas. A chingona is any woman who chooses to live life on her own terms. PERIOD. She is the scholar AND the hoe.

Curated by artists Raquel Garcia, Judy Avitia-Gonzalez, Mousy Devilla, and 179, this show’s goal is to highlight the strength and beauty of Chingonas. We’re accepting submissions now till Monday April 29th. Email us the pieces you’d like to show. We’re celebrating women with next month’s art show.

  • Deadline April 29th
  • Size restrictions 36″ x 24″
  • 2 Piece submission limitation
  • 2D paintings only. (We don’t have the capacity to show 3D work)
  • Art must be hang ready
  • Artists will be notified of acceptance 1st week of May
